Why This Recipe Is So Popular
Kitchen Tips
- Brush the breadsticks with melted butter before baking to enhance browning.
- Keep an eye on them while baking to avoid burning the cheese.
Step 1
Warm your oven to 450°F and lining a baking sheet with parchment paper. In a mixing bowl, combine the warm water, yeast, and honey, then let it sit for about 10 minutes until it gets nice and foamy. Next, add the flour, Parmesan, olive oil, Italian seasoning, and salt to the yeast mixture. Mix everything together until you’ve got a smooth dough that pulls away from the sides of the bowl. Let the dough rest for around 5 minutes.

Step 2
Dust your work surface with a little flour, then pinch off pieces of dough about the size of 3 tablespoons. Roll each piece into a little log and place them on your lined baking sheet. Pop them in the oven and bake for 13 to 15 minutes, until they start to turn a light golden color.

Step 3
While the breadsticks are baking, melt the butter and stir in the garlic salt and the rest of the Italian seasoning. Once the breadsticks have baked, brush them generously with the butter mixture, then put them back in the oven for another 3 minutes or so to get that perfect golden finish. Enjoy warm!
