Why This Recipe Is So Enjoyable
Quick Kitchen Tips
- Don’t overcrowd the air fryer basket to allow even cooking.
- Shake the basket halfway through cooking to prevent burning and ensure all chips crisp up.
Step 1
Warm your air fryer to 280°F. Meanwhile, wash the kale and tear the leaves away from the tough ribs, then dry them really well so they crisp up nicely. Toss the kale in a big bowl with olive oil, rubbing it in with your hands to make sure every piece is lightly coated. Sprinkle in some salt, pepper, and chile-lime seasoning, then mix everything together.
Step 2
Working in batches, add a single layer of kale to the air fryer basket—try not to overlap the pieces. Cook for about 5 minutes, then give the basket a good shake and cook for another 3 minutes. Sprinkle the Parmesan over the kale, shake it around so the cheese sticks, and air fry for 2 more minutes until everything is crispy. Keep an eye on the kale as you go and repeat with the rest of the batches, keeping the temperature low to avoid burning.
