Why This Dish Is Worth Trying
Practical Cooking Tips
- Cook the beef thoroughly but avoid overcooking to keep it juicy.
- Warm the tortillas before assembling to make them more pliable and less likely to tear.
Step 1
Warm your oven to 350°F. In a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef, stirring now and then, until it’s fully browned, about 5 minutes. Once done, take the beef out of the pan and set it aside.
Step 2
Using the same skillet, add the Knorr® Rice Sides™ Cheddar Broccoli mix, water, and beans. Bring everything to a boil over high heat, then lower the heat to medium, cover, and let it cook for about 7 minutes, or until the rice is tender. Stir the cooked beef back into the skillet, then take it off the heat and let it sit for a couple of minutes. Mix in half a cup of salsa and half a cup of cheese until everything is combined.
Step 3
Grab your tortillas and spoon about three-quarters of a cup of the rice and beef mixture onto each one. Roll them up tightly. Next, spread half a cup of salsa evenly in the bottom of a greased 13x9-inch baking dish. Place the burritos seam-side down in the dish.
Step 4
Pour the remaining salsa down the center of the burritos and sprinkle the rest of the cheese on top. Cover the dish tightly with foil and bake for 25 minutes, or until everything is heated through. Once out of the oven, sprinkle with some chopped green onions for a fresh finish.
