Ingredients
- 1 (.9 ounce) package hollandaise sauce mix (such as Knorr®)
- 1 cup whole milk
- ¼ cup butter
- 1 pound fresh asparagus, trimmed
- 4 slices deli-style honey ham, sliced in half lengthwise
- ½ teaspoon freeze-dried dill
Why This Dish Is Worth Trying
Cooking Secrets
- Use fresh eggs and warm butter to achieve a smooth hollandaise sauce.
- Roll the ingredients tightly to prevent them from falling apart during cooking.
Step 1
Whisk the sauce mix and milk together in a saucepan over medium-low heat. Add the butter and bring the mixture to a gentle boil, stirring until everything is melted and smooth. Lower the heat and let it simmer for about a minute, stirring now and then, until it thickens up a bit. Set the sauce aside to cool down slightly.

Step 2
Meanwhile, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Toss in the asparagus and cook for about 3 minutes until just tender. Drain them and immediately run under cold water to stop the cooking. Pat the asparagus dry with paper towels once they’re cool enough to handle.

Step 3
Grab four asparagus spears and wrap a slice of ham around them. Lay the bundles on a serving tray and keep going until all the asparagus is wrapped. Drizzle the creamy sauce over the rolls and sprinkle some fresh dill on top for a nice touch. Serve and enjoy!
